Geting Started With Hamradio

My first contact with hamradio was in 2002 on a course leaded by Bojan S52B which took place in the town's high-school. After attending some classes I realised that this is something i would really like to do. I wanted to take the radioamateur exam. The same year i enrolled in my nearest hamradio club in Novo mesto - S59DJR. There i met Franci S51WC who helped me getting ready for the exam with his helpfull advices and he also lent me the needed textbooks. In March i had passed the exam for the III. class and i was proud to recieve my first call sign: S56WTZ. The licence allowed me to work from 50 MHz up and i started to work mainly on 2m. Slowly i was getting interested more and more in contests and Franci helped me getting a hang on it. In 2004 the new legislation allowed us to work also on HF. It also meant that i would be doing contests on HF, that's the main reason why in 2005 i changed my call sign to a shorter one: S58L.
Thanks to all ham friends who made me interested in this beautifull hobby and are helping me with their support and advices.
