MSA project

This is a project Modular Spectrum Analyzer designed by Scotty Sprowls.
The instrument is SA / SNA / VNA from 0 to 3 GHz.

While I was building myMSA, beside the great help from Scotty, I found very useful also
the documents from Sam Wetterlin and the MSA support group.

Front

myMSA front panel view:
- from the left there are (1|3)GHz / 2GHz / auto band switch and a SMA type DDS3 output (0-32MHz),
- to the right there is an Input Transmission/Reflection/SA switch,
- there are three LED indicators: from the left a) 2GHz band activation, b) T/R unit power on, c) MSA power on,
- on the bottom line from the left there are N type SA input (0-3GHz), TG output (0-3GHz) and LO3 output (1-2GHz).
.

Inside

myMSA inside during assembly:
- coax cavity (IF1) band pass filter 1013.3MHz,
- brass frame with SLIM modules,
- RBW (IF2) filters and cables to a 1 of 4 automatic filter switch.
