EUHFC 2001 Competitor's Comments

F/PA0MIR/M - Had no access to the rules, being away from home...

G0IVZ - Hard going on the LF bands...could do with another hour or two of darkness

HA/OH1NOA - Thanks for HG6N gang, great hospitality. Those cold beers, "moonshine" & ouzo did not increase my score :-)

HA4YF - Since last IARU contest I noticed significant improvement in patience and politness and no collisions were observed

HB9DCM - 1st participation in this contest. I have enjoyed it. I was very surprised to have contact G5LP who was licenced in 1935 and who remain active even during contests. What an example!

HG8Z - This software (UA1AAF) is very nice. Thanks for Boris..

LY1FW/P - Hanged up several wire antennas on Sventoji lighthouse on Baltic sea coast and tried to work more or less serious, not everything worked as I expected...

LY5W - G4PIQ/p and OH0Z great job! Can't remember such difficult receiving on low bands. Sorry for all who called me and I couldn't hear him.

LZ2AU - EUHFC - the best contest!!

OH1EB - First participation in this contest. The multiplier system is good...

OH1F - Maybe because of good propagation the stations were spread over all six bands.

OH2U/ES2RR - Lot's of great CW operators! Tried to pay more attention to "quality" this time. Double checked every call that was not in my master DB....Many thanks to the host, Pekka OH2HE.

OK1VHV - I have computer type "P+P" (paper and pencil).

OL4M - I love this contest

ON5UR . My first HF contest ever...

ONL383 I found the new rule for SWL rather excellent. But when I read the point 12. d) of the rule I do not know if it is a reality or a dream! There is still a lot of hams or SWL's who have no PC and are not interested to buy one... It is my case!! Please try to find a better idea for 2002! Of course, I send a log with less than 200 stations.

PA3BFH - I like contesting very much and had lot's of fun contacting all those well known European operatrs. Thanks for organizing...

PA9TT - (paper log) Next year going to use TR...

RA1ARJ - The absence of good antennas on 15/10/160 m has affected very low result. Worked for pleasure...

S53EO - Scorching heat in the shack (36 C) and very strong QRN on 40 & 80m, receiving was very difficult, no QSOs on 160m.

S56A - No need for this in Cabrillo! Except to make disqualification easier.

S59L - It's a pleasure to operate in EUHFC with a great UA1AAF software!

SM3W - To bad I lost the 160 and 80 m antenna in the middle of the contest. I made some QSOs with my 80m antenna on the ground...

SP6LV - Nice to know age of our correspondents immediately. That small who is who...

SV1DKL - Heard a station whose first licence dated back in 1918...

SV1EDY - Another one great contest, all operators were really great. Big help UA1AAF software...

YO4NF - Thanks to all old hams who made an effort to give us some multipliers.

YZ1U (YL Tina) - I hope you will accept my paper log. In lack of economical, electrical and technical resources (with one word - Balkan)I hope this will be OK for you. Thank you for the organization of this UFB contest and CU next year!

YU7SF - This was my 8th EUHFC and my 2.319 contest log entry at all.
