ALPE - ADRIA VHF CONTEST RULES

1.DATE AND TIME:

Sunday in the first full weekend in August every year;
07.00 - 17.00 UTC

2.BANDS AND MODES:

VHF band (144.000 MHz - 144.600)
CW, PHONE (A1A, J3E)
Recommendation for a CQ call: QRP stations 144.350 and up, QRO stations 144.350 and down!)

3.CONTEST SECTIONS:

Section A - fixed stations with max. power as licence
Section B - CW only stations, regardless the location, max power as licence
Section C - portable stations with max. power 50 W OUTPUT
Section D - portable stations with max. power QRP=5W OUTPUT, located at an height above 1600m ASL!
No subdivision will be beetwen single and multi operators !

4.MULTIPLIER:

1km = 1 point

5.ENTRIES AND LOGS:

All the entries from Austria, Italy, Slovenija and Croatia must be send the logs (including summary sheets) to their own national contest manager or association:

All the entries from other countries must send logs (including summary sheets) to ARI (to organizer of the contest for year 1997). All logs must be send within 15 (fifteen) days from the contest date in order to qualify. The postmark date must be anterior to the 15 day after the contest day. The log form must be as those of the IARU REGION I. standard log (if possibile calculate with calculator or computer. PC AT/XT ASCII logs (EDI format) on standard disks will be appriciated).

6. JUDGING OF ENTRIES:

Any error in the QSO-data determines the canceling of that QSO. If there are unmarked double QSOs which number is greater than 3% of the totall number, the log will be disqualfy. Also if the total of QRB declared is greater than 3% of true, the log will be disqualfy.

7. PRIZES

The organizer of the contest (1993 - I, 1994 - S5, 1995 - OE,1996 - 9A, 1997 - I, 1998 - ZRS, 1999- 0E, 2000 - 9A ...) will award a prize to the first three entries of every section of the contest.
