SCC
unites
active radioamateurs from
Slovenia. Members participate at major international events with
many active stations, operating mostly from special contest
locations. That is also the reason why members of the club are
commonly found in the Top lists and between record holders.
Many years in the row SCC members operated as guest operators from
contest station A61AJ for what we are grateful to the owner and our
friend, Ali Al Futtaim.
Every first Monday of the month SCC members gathered at the Club
Headquarters in order to discuss technical problems, experiences at
various contests and major club issues.
Every year on the first Saturday in August SCC organizes the
European HF Championship - EUHFC.
EUHFC is well recognized contest among the European contesters since
the establishment in 1994.
Number of received logs is increasing yearly and
it passed 1000
mark
in 2011.
Every last weekend in August (since 1998), SCC sponsors the
SCC RTTY Championship Contest.
It is 24 hour RTTY race starting on Saturday at 12:00 UTC.
Exchange in both contest is year
of the year of operator's first ever official amateur radio license
(two-digit in EUHFC & four-digit in
SCC RTTY). See updated contest rules for
both contests.
Since SCC is contest club, our members participated in all WRTCs.
SCC organized WRTC 2000 which was held at BLED from July 5th to 11th,
2000. This was first time that WRTC was held outside of US. More
than 500 attendees enjoyed a week of social and contest activities.
SCC took organization very seriously and president of the country
was a chairman of Honorary WRTC 2000 Committee. Slovenian Post
authorities issued special postage
stamp. With the help and
participation of entire Slovenian amateur radio community WRTC 2000
came out as a big success with 53 teams competed from different top
hill locations spread all over Slovenia. Many contesters from all
around the globe now know
where all these S5 signals are coming
from.
Limited number
DXpeditions are also organized by the SCC.
Hope to CU all of you in
contests! |
